灰から取った灰汁で
古い塗装を分解して
木肌を調整後、最低限　薄く引き延ばした蜜蝋塗装で
仕上げたもので、艶はなくマットな仕上がりです。

Japanese Vintage Isho Tansu, clothes chest of drawers, manufactured in circa 1940s. Refurbished & re-finished.
Washed off the remained old vanish by the lye made from the hardwood ashes, then re-finished with homemade, water-based sheer matte polish mist made of beeswax & linseed oil. Not shiny, but touches are smooth.
